Designed covers and lyric videos for Beijing-based pop artist, Mika's, 2023 EP release.
We wanted to use the cinematic photography to reference movie posters and love letters which emulate the motivations behind each song. The typography supports the image treatment to create poetic balance in the EP visuals.

After their 2024 renaming, Garrett Kuroda, the Team Leader and a Realtor of Lighthouse Realty Group wanted to refresh their brand mark.
He laid out a number of objectives which included: a mark that utilizes the acronym LRG, an iconic lighthouse reference, an alternate mark that they could use for apparel purposes that incorporated custom script, and an emphasis on balance + readability.
After discussion, I thought it was important for the design to reflect Garrett's values when working with clients. This approach was highlighted in the phrase, "casual competency."
I created custom logo type where one mark conveys lifestyle, the other business, but both have inklings of the other baked into the design.

A biannual, invitation-only art fair in the Berkshires. Arrival's inaugural gathering happened at Tourists, a hotel located near the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA), the Clark Art Institute, and the Williams College Museum of Art.
Arrival’s inaugural edition showcased more than 25 exhibitors, who transformed the hotel’s rooms into an immersive art experience. The selection of exhibitors will be overseen by the fair’s curatorial ambassadors, a distinguished group of institutional directors and curators, many of whom have deep connections to the region.

Live Aloha Expressions of Aloha 2022 campaign launch: Document design, social media asset design + sequencing design.
"Live Aloha began in 1993 with a simple question: how do we create a culture of positive and responsible action?
We decided to agree upon a set of twelve actions that we would each take, and encourage others to take. In committing to this, we believed we could begin to create the kind of community we value.
We do not have any minimum commitments. Take what you need, give what you can." - Live Aloha
As someone who grew up seeing Live Aloha everywhere in O‘ahu, Hawai‘i, this project is very special to me. We wanted to ensure that the design of the elements of this campaign remained true to the organizations recognizable mark, to honor its history. We also wanted to add a touch of contemporary flavor to breathe new life into the campaign through updates to typography and color.

Website interface design for Stanford University: IDA (Institute for Diversity in the Arts).
When working on this website redesign, under the direction of Jon Santos (Common Space Studio), the desire was to let the artwork of the IDA's students shine through the design. Simplicity and flat colors are the key elements that are deployed to elevate the branding to support the work of the organization.

Website and print layout design for an organic, locally-sourced turmeric tonic company based in Honolulu.
Tay & Tholi prides itself on working with local farmers and businesses. I wanted to create a web presence that reflected the elegance of the way owner and founder, Deepa Sheehan, speaks about wellness and community.
The design of the printed matter was inspired by the color palettes used in food trucks seen on street sides in O‘ahu.
